Another children friendly place on the main street (close to La Caretta) is restaurant Mantalena. This place offer wide range of local and international food. There is an open air children corner as well.
Favorite Dish: Meze and Retsina from Zakynthos.

La Caretta describes itself as a restaurant with Greek and international cuisine. There is many places in Alicanas like this along the main busy road. I thihk Caretta is the best one, especially for families with children. The children corner is nice and good equipped. But the main thing is good food and friendly staff.
Favorite Dish: Everything was great, i have tried Greek dishes for example Musaka or stuffed grapevine leafs (Dolma). And there is no other restaurant with “home made” soups in Alicanas, especially the chicken soup was great.

There is many car rentals in Alicanas. I have tried two of them, Cosmos Rentals and Skippers. Cosmos looks more professional in contrast to Skippers. The Skippers office has big problems with preparing a car in time. Generely car rentals dont like to offer the cheapest cars like Chevrolet Spark (about 25 euro per day in june 2009) and you have to ask about it.
