The masterpieces of European art

by csordila

On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome an exhibition with the title "The masterpieces of European art" was arranged, the site of which the Palazzo del Quirinale was.All the member states of the European Union introduced themselves 1 - 1 selected artistic creation on the art exhibition. Greece was represented by a Sculpture of Korè. The kores are simply votive statues of young maidens that brought pleasure to the goddess who was evidently more delighted with these offerings than with any other. They do not depict specific persons and stand straight with the facial expression typical of Archaic art (the Archaic smile).
