One of if not the only highlight of our Kavos visit was a gentle walk along the beach, its very clean and sandy with lots of boats anchored up bobbing about in the water. The beach stretches for several miles and there are good views of the Greek mainland.at the north end are the usual supplies of sunbeds and umbrellas.
We took the service bus to Kavos from Moriatika. It was like two different countries. We arrived at midday and the place was dead. We had a big breakfast at the Barn, and then we went in search of the beach. The beach was also deserted. At 3pm when we were waiting for the bus to Corfu town, the town came alive. Everybody here must get up in the afternoon then after a couple of hours on the beach party until dawn.
There isn't really that much to do at Kavos apart from Eat, Drink, and Sleep!!! O and sunbathe!
As the type of holiday here is mainly package - i.e. you have young reps wanting you to go out and get drunk and spend money there are many excursions which are mainly centered on getting you drunk and taking your clothes off......the Booze Cruise, the Bar Crawl, and the Aqua Park are all things which you can do apart from sunning yourself and drinking beer.
I think a few of the bars show movies throughout the day too so that you can recover from your hangover out of the sun!
