One of if not the only highlight of our Kavos visit was a gentle walk along the beach, its very clean and sandy with lots of boats anchored up bobbing about in the water. The beach stretches for several miles and there are good views of the Greek mainland.at the north end are the usual supplies of sunbeds and umbrellas.

We took the service bus to Kavos from Moriatika. It was like two different countries. We arrived at midday and the place was dead. We had a big breakfast at the Barn, and then we went in search of the beach. The beach was also deserted. At 3pm when we were waiting for the bus to Corfu town, the town came alive. Everybody here must get up in the afternoon then after a couple of hours on the beach party until dawn.

There isn't really that much to do at Kavos apart from Eat, Drink, and Sleep!!! O and sunbathe!
As the type of holiday here is mainly package - i.e. you have young reps wanting you to go out and get drunk and spend money there are many excursions which are mainly centered on getting you drunk and taking your clothes off......the Booze Cruise, the Bar Crawl, and the Aqua Park are all things which you can do apart from sunning yourself and drinking beer.
I think a few of the bars show movies throughout the day too so that you can recover from your hangover out of the sun!

A small and tidy little diner in the middle of Kavos serving drinks, snacks, breakfasts and coffees, good service and reasonable prices. We came here mid morning after a stroll on the beach and wanted something quick and easy before driving on,i had a club sandwich which was very nice and quite filling.
The diner is open on three sides with a shaded area and open top area.

Favorite Dish: Club sandwich containing cheese, ham, tomato and lettuce on toated bread served with french fries.

There is nothing the Brits like better than a big breakfast. This is what we had at the Barn, the
food was lovely and quite cheap. There was also sky sports and internet available.

Favorite Dish: big breakfast...bacon, egg, beans, sausage, blackpudding, hash browns, mushrooms and tomato.

Most nightclubs in Kavos have pretty ***ty music and atmosphere. I did not find one place with good music during my drunken strawl on the main street. If your stuff is MC Hammer, YMCA or Modern Talking you might find some places though.

You can get ocasional free drinks from the guys outside who do their best to lure you in.

JCs is a small bar in Kavos....it is notorious for selling drinks called Head F!*kers....it does what it says....god knows what they put in the drinks but it is lethal - so drink with caution!

This bar also plays the Yogi Bear song - so if you don't know it now - you soon will - and you will never want to hear it again once you have left Kavos!!!!

Dress Code: Again - no dress code, anything goes!

This Bar is owned by the guy who owns the Aphrodite Apartments and is right at the front of it. It is always really busy here and is probably a good place to go to start the night.

(soz i don't have any pics at the moment as they need scanning onto the comp!)

Dress Code: Anything goes - no really - wear what you like!

Kavos Warnings and Dangers

  • VickiJ's Profile Photo

Kavos if full of rowdyness! So if that's what you want in a holiday then Kavos is the place to go. As any resort that is aimed a the '18-30' group expect touts on every bar corner trying to entice you in! Watch out for all the letchy men ewwwww!

The bars are all offering 5 drinks for the price of 1...so there must be a catch right?? They water the drinks down - which will leave you feeling really ill the next day - you have been warned!!
