The first Sunday every October at 10.00 A.M. the villagers arrange memorial services for their fellow citizens that bruttaly massacred, on Sunday October 3rd, 1943 by the men of the 1st Gebirgsjaeger Division of the Wehrmacht. Is attended by the whole village and all the officials of the area. After that is served the memorial lunch, with a lot of local food delicacies and wine, all attendnts are welcome to participate in it. The custom off eating lunch after the memorial cermonies is coming since the antiquity, when they were eating the flesh of the animal offered to the deities on the sacred altar.

Favorite thing: The beautiful village Lygiades on the slope of monte Mitsikeli, a fifteen-minute distance from the legendary town of Ioannina and at an altitude of 940m.
