In Matala night life is very simple, but lively! there few bars/pubs and 1 sort of disco and they are all concentrated on the left part of the beach, on the rocks on the opposite side of the caves.
These pubs are small, colourfull, with all types of music (from raggae to disco, passing trough rock, punk etc...) and sometimes there is live music.
My favourite place was Rock Bar where they plays also Ramones, Iggy Pop, the Clash and the Police, some of my favourite groups.
There, me and my friends, spent one of the best night in Crete, we knew some locals (Dimitri and friends) and we had a lot of fun (and we got drunk together, I admit it...)

Dress Code: As you want...however not too smart!

My "welcome to Matala" is worth to mention here. After arrival to Heraklion Airport I jumped to the taxi and headed for Matala. I see, people gave me advice not to take a taxi from airport...but.......
