A traveliong backpack would do the trick. Don't over load it, you will not need as much as you think that you will!!! If you goto this place in the summer take as little of clothing as possable. I'm talkin little sundresses, bikini's, sandels, and lotz of sunsreen. When I was there is reached 46 degrees celsius, whjich is very hot. It was so hot that they filled the hot tub with cold water. Definatly take a camera, but that's just common sense, why would you go anywhere on a vaction without a camera. A video Camera is also a swaynkee thing you might want to think about purchasing for your trip. It will definatly be worth it! TRUST ME!!!

You are expected to dress in a respectable manner when visiting churches and monasteries: long trousers for men, sleeved dresses and no miniskirts for women. It is perfectly safe to eat and drink everything and the tap water is safe. The health services are good and you will be able to find an English-speaking doctor easily. Think skimpy when you pack clothes, think comfy when you pack shoes. There is no posh dress code anywhere in Falaraki, so flip flops and sandals are recommended. Also buy bikini's for the beach, and bikini's for the clubs. Bring lots of insect repellant, in the form of sprays, creams, plug ins, anything. I had to go on antibiotics when I came home after all the bites I received, and it doesnt look pretty. Buy disposables before you come away. Its well easy to lose your camera when your plastered so much of the time. It's bad enough losing your photos, but you really don't wanna lose an expensive camera as well.

Hiking essential to bring some entertainment like cards(if you're travelling with friends) or a good book coz you never know when you'd be stranded! We were stranded in Syros for a whole day because there was no ferry that day!

If you travel in Mid-October like we did. You will need a light jacket or a pullover.. The cool breeze off the Aegean sea is kinda chilly in the mornings and in the evenings... Make sure you have plenty of film if travelling to the Islands.

Be a Traveler and not a Tourist - A Tourist is one that expects everything to be the way it is back home, and a Traveler accepts the challenges faced during travel which makes each country that he or she has traveled unique.

Bring a bag small enough to attach to your bike and to fill with drinks and sun cream. Maybe a small camera bag to fit around your waist for easy access. Even in May the evenings can be quite cool so bring something warm for the night time just in case. Plus very early in the morning it's cold especially when you are zipping along on a moped, so jeans and a jumper may be necessary.
