Nero & Alati: Nero & Alati
Nero & Alati (water & salt) was the only place that was opened in early may when we were desperated for a coffee. Platys Gialos seemed like a ghost town, there was no one around. I saw someone coming out of this restaurant
-is it open?
-yes sir, first day of the season!
We walked in and noticed the beautiful outdoor seating next to the beach, a privileged location. We had a cold coffee and local dessert and enjoyed its relaxed environment. We were the only customers of course, we were watching the owner and some other people trying to set things in order, cleaning the terrace etc I guess they had to wait for some extra weeks until the people start to come to the resort.Related to:

how to go there
Platys Gialos is located 10km south from Apollonia, 15km from Kamares (the port), 13km from Kastro.
We drove there by car and parked at the main street (parallel to the shore)
There is a modern marina on the left side of the beach, so you can park your small or big boat there, more info at 2284071365
You can reach Platys Gialos by bus. Single ticket is 1,60euro(from Kamares 2,20e), we paid directly at the driver.
In early May there were only a few buses from Apollonia but during summer there are many more.
