I dont know how Greek salad looks lile in your country, but here where i live - in Latvia, it is very, very different.

Dont miss the street theaters
Walking on the streets of Athens you may see around some fantastic street theaters. This in this photo is a real marionette's theater.
Koulouria-a typical snack
Well, I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this tip. "Koulouria" (kind of small round bread) are sold by street vendors around Athens (in bakeries as well). Try one!
Maybe they need to introduce Athens to cable television? That would be a major change on the city's looks. It reminds me of the sea of satellite dishes on some Brazilian favelas.
If you happen to be a dog and you were taken to Athens by your human, you won't have trouble making friends: just go to your nearest Ancient Ruins or downtown streets and squares.
Gyros consist of thinly shaved lamb in a pita pocket served together with lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, sometimes onion, and the tzatziki (white sauce made from yogurt and cucumbers) is optional.
