Alkistis Protopsalti is one of the most important artists in Greece. I love her voice and I had a chance to see her in Heraklion (Crete) on august,2003 for the great celebration of "One year before the Olympic Games". Her performance was wonderful and I still listen to my favourite song of her: "Trava Skandali"

Evridiki in Nikea (Athens)

Evridiki is a very popular singer in Greece and in spite of her "fragile" appearance she has a very strong voice! I had a chance to see her in live concert in Athens.

Evridiki was born on the 25th of February. She grew up in Lefkosia in Cyprus and she started studying music from her very early years. She has a very nice, Greek, sensational and rare, name known to everybody from the myth of Orfeas and Euridiki (Orfeus and Eurydice).

In 1992 she took part in the European song competition of Eurovision, on behalf of Cyprus, with the song "Tairiazoume" ("We Match").

Vassilis in Nikea (Athens)

Vassilis Papakonstantinou is very famous greek singer loved by all generations (I saw people of different ages at his concert!). He is a real greek rock star and has a particular energy!
Vassilis is a favourite singer of Andreas (AndyRG) who actually invited me at his concert. Thank You Andriko!

Mihalis in "Zigos"

Mihalis Hatzigiannis is one of the most succesful young singer in Greece. He was born on 5/11/78. in Nicosia of Cyprus. He has a degree on classical guitar, piano and theoritican studies at the Musical Academy Of Cyprus (Royal College Of London).
In 1998 he represented his country in the Eurovision contest by singing the song "Genesis" of which the music is his. It took the 11th place.On March 2001 Mihalis got the award for the Best First Appearing Artist for 2000.

Thanks to my greek friend Giorgos I have almost all cds of Mihalis. I love his sweet voice and nice songs (even if I don't understand greek language rather good). I saw him in Zigos Music Center in Athens in 2003 (the concert was one of many presents made by my boyfriend for my birthday! Efxaristo!) and he was singing for Closing Ceremony of Athens Olympic Games in 2004. Now this nice greek man is my favourite greek singer!

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1948. Papazoglou has a strange voice and he combines in an admirable way the traditional folk art with the modern "electrical" music...
His album "I ekdikisi tis giftias" in 1978 was a unigue event of those years, with much influence till our days (Gazi, 1/5/2004)...

Not just a laser show...

It is said that the group from Bristol is one of the groups that most affected modern music. Founders of trip-hop, they have been fanous for their complected orchestrations.
That sold out concert -of the two at the same place- proved these opinions clearly... Dot Allison from Scotland was the support singer (Lycabettus Theater, 15/7/2003).

She is one of the best representatives of "ethnic" greek music. Savina was first appeared as a singer in legendary "Lilipoupoli" record (songs... not only about children), in 1979. She uses her wonderful voice as a musical instrument, don't miss her if you have the chance in festivals all over the world (11th Biennale of young artists, "Antonis Tritsis" Park, 12/6/2003)...

THE voice! Emma Shapplin was born in Paris in 1974 (younger than me, a... baby). She is the alive combination of pop music and emotional drama of the opera.
For me, she looks like an elf from a fairy-tale, see her live at least once! (Lycabettus Theater, 2nd sold out concert, 14/7/2004)

He was born in Nicosia of Cyprus in 1978. At the age of 17 he had already made his first cd. He is too popular as years pass by, he writes lyrics and music by himself. Hatzigiannis has been characterized as the "king of greek pop"... ("Zigos", 28/3/2003)

Georgia, a great performer!

The group was formed in Thessaloniki in 1996 and reproduces jazz, funky and rock sounds. The leader and composer of it is Papapostolou George, but people know especially the... voices of the group, Theodosia Tsatsou (till 1998, when she started a solo career) and -since then- Georgia, a great performer!
