God's Restaurant: Character and local color

God’s Restaurant or in Greek the Restaurant of the Gods is located at 23-27 Makrigianni, just one block south of the Acropolis Metro Station. The host is a stereotypical Greek character complete with handlebar mustache. The walls feature local are and the place is filled with local color and charm. The restaurant features side walk tables and indoor seating (we choose indoors near the open doors as it was slightly cool out.) The multi lingual menu (including English) is heavy with traditional Greek specialties. The food was very good and the service was prompt and attentive. Major credit cards are accepted. Dinner for two with wine or beer was less then 50 euros.

Favorite Dish: Save room for desert, the bakery and ice cream shop on the corner one block south is incredible.
