Another place in souvlaki row, Savvas is cheap and good and fast. I ate a grilled plate which included pork, lamb, and chicken, fries, and grilled tomatoes ... cost was 10 Euro's for the plate, soda's was 1.5 Euro. Same as Thanasis it's fast, good and cheap....English menu's are also available....

It's hard to go to Greece and not try your hand at authentic Greek fastfood. There are a lot of places that sell souvlaki, gyros and various pittes, and a lot of times the food is reheated or excessively cheap, leaving you with a bad taste afterwards. Savvas is not just picturesque (at the end of the Ermou shopping district and amid the restaurants at the meting of Mitropolous and Monastiraki) but all the food is very fresh. The restaurant is also very clean and you have the option of taking away or eating there.

Favorite Dish: Chicken gyro (gyros kotopoulo) is to die for... there's pretty much no fat on the all white meat gyro.
