The menu is in several languages including English. At night they have mostly grilled food and it can get pretty festive. These are some of the best waiters in Athens too. Very attentive, fast and they all speak English.

This is definitly one of the best restaurants that I ate in Plaka. The food was very good with an excellent choice for vegetarians. Its open very late and packed as it gets later in the night. I like the food so much that I in fact went back the second night to the same place.
My hotel also suggested this restaurent as one of the best and it lived up to the expectation.

This restaurant seems like a typical tourist place because their menu is in English and Japanese. However, the food is better than the other tourist restaurants in the square. Be careful of your bags because this square is a popular hangout for gypsies! The staff at Vyzantio is very sweet and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. They take credit cards. It's hard to beat the atmosphere of dining out beneath the Acropolis, but you do pay for the privilege. However this restaurant prices its menu realistically and is popular with locals year-round. Vizantino/Byzantino is a must if you want quality and have a tight budget. Great atmosphere too!
It started with a typical salad, the main dish was souvlaki with rice and fries for her and moussaka for me. There was a glass of white wine included for both of us and as much free water as we wanted (although requesting a new bottle takes a while because the waiters are very busy with attracting new customers). Here you can find probably the cheapest menus in Plaka. You can order for a menu WITHOUT DRINK, so is cheaper than the average, that include the drink. Anywhere in Plaka, at night, where you can see the floodlit Acropolis. (Although you will be paying for the view). Try the Taverna Vizantino.
A lot of locals eat here so there is good food at reasonable prices for the location.

This restaurant is in a square in Plaka full of restaurants at the edges and trees in the middle. Vyzantino has a menu with more than just the usual offerings. You can sit under the trees or under the canopy and enjoy people-watching as you eat.
