Santuary of Apollo is main attraction of Delphi, a town 3-4 hours from Athens. Temple of Apollo was built in this sanctuary. At that time, it housed a golden statue of Apollo (but as you can guess, the status is no longer there...again...). Nearby is Santuary of Athena.
It was said to also house Delphic Oracle, which is believed to be the most powerful oracle in Greece. This oracle was visited by Alexander the Great when he wanted to conquer the world.
