This square houses the parliament building is the main bus transfer area and marks the beginning or Ermou street the modern shopping pedestrain mall.

Here beats the heart of Athens. The Parliament at the east of the square, the Grande Bretagne Hotel building, many cafes where drink a great coffee, tea etc.
Syntagma Square is the centre of all activity. The buildings sorrounding the square itself house hotels, Greek and foreign banks, ministries and airline offices. The square never sleeps!
