This is a relatively 'Cheap and Cheerful' taverna to have some Kalamari, a salad and some Cool Ouzo. The best things about this place is the setting. It has a wonderful peaceful view of the sea. In the winter, or on cold rainy days, you can still enjoy a seaside meal since inside is a warm fireplace for just such occasions:):)
Favorite Dish: Kalamari, Eggplant salad, fresh fried fish.
Another taverna in the category of 'Cheap and Cheerful.' The food at this taverna is wide and varied. If you like lamb chops, they have them; if you like fish, you can have that too; if you are vegetarian, there are plenty of tasty vegetable dishes on the menue.
The setting is ideal in the summer, as you are inland but under many branches of the tall white trees. You can also gaze at the small church next to the restaurant which is one of the oldest churches in the area. Light a candle either before or after your meal...depending on whether you hope for a good meal, or maybe you hope you don't suffer from indigestion!
No, really, I have never had a bad meal here. Everything has been more than suitable and even more so the local wine or ouzo served with your meal.
Favorite Dish: Everything is good. It just depends on my mood. I do remember however, that the 'chips,' as the Brits call them, or the 'French-fries' as the Americans say, were quite unusual as they were cut much larger and fatter than normal fries and they were lightly sprinked with grated hard cheese! Try the eggplant salad and don't forget the tzadziki!
