    This neo-classical mansion (not the only one in the town) of the benefactor Sotiris Anargyros has a marvellous architecture. It is not far away from the modern harbour of Dapia.Next to it is the Pefkakia square, where Bouboulina's Museum exists.

    The Archaeological-Historical-Folkloric Museum of the island is housed at Hatzigiannis Mexis' mansion. It was established as a museum in 1939.Hatzigiannis Mexis was the first notable of Spetses, also the first to promote the revolution in the islands of Spetses, Hydra and Psara at the war of independence, which started in 1821.
