    Walk to the Port

    by gale.blog.pl Updated Dec 13, 2005

Favorite thing: If you wish to see the surroundings of Kastelli Kissamou take a nice walk to the port. You can go along main road West, pass road sign saying "Well come to Kissamos" (yes!!!) and continue your way till you reach marina. There you can have your lunch or walk on to the port. The port itself is nothing special so you won't lose much if you end your wandering in one of marina's taverns.

    Archaeological Site

    by gale.blog.pl Updated Dec 13, 2005
    Archaeology Greek Style

Favorite thing: Whenever I'm in Kastelli I watch this site with the most of my interest. I'm not an expert on archaeology but the slowliness of works keeps me amazed... Maybe that's because two of those guys keep drinking frappe and the only the third one is working.

    Rest! At Last... :)

    by gale.blog.pl Updated Dec 13, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Kastelli - as some people call the place - is a perfect place to have a good rest. In early October it is not crowded, prices are reasonable and there is no problem with going to Chania, Elafonisi, Samaria and other places around Crete.

    Flowers

    Typical Home Garden in Kissamos

Favorite thing: Should you be visiting Kastelli in spring or summer, you're going to see those beautiful flowers and fresh green plants. It's great to see large old used oil cans filled with growing flowers.
