Kremaston Lake

It is such a spectacular sight, looking down on to the lake from the road to Karpenissi. There must be many routes down to the water but we were just "passing through" and didn't know which roads were navigable for us in a motorhome.I would love to try swimming in that water, one day.
Kalamos Island

Water taxis ply back and forth from Mytikas to Kalamos Island in season. It's a very green island, cone shaped and sparsely populated. Apparently Onassis was interested in buying it in the days before Skorpios.There are a few rooms to rent and a couple of tavernas.Popular with the yachting set.
Enjoy the Quiet Life

Mytikas is just a quiet retreat with superb views over the mountains and Kalamos Island. There is a nice bit of beach to do the usual on and two or three eating places and three or so hotels.
