Settled on the yard of a two floored house, this restaurant resembles more to a friend's home rather than to a restaurant bussines. Well hidden in the mountain's foot, will take you about 15 driving from the main street, up to a gravel road to reach it. The ultimate Greek ambience, as once more, time is still there for the last 20 years at least.
Favorite Dish: Fresh home made bread made by the mother of the house, in the outdoor oven displayed in the photo, fresh eggs taken from family's chickens, Greek salad with vegetables just harvested from the garden next to you...need more??? Ok! just make sure that you wont miss the omelette!!!

Not a restaurant-desserts only! and breakfasts! and coctails and...and...and...
From early in the morning till late at night, Giorgos is there to offer u a variety of local deserts. Situated in Hora's main street, this is where my days started and where they ended too. No matter where I have been all day, no matter how tired I was, this is where I would certainly end my day with the amazing Vodka with fresh lemonjuice, bit of honey, bit of cinamon too. Vodka like never tasted before!!!
Favorite Dish: - Home made fresh lemon juice with cinamon and honey.
- home made sour cherry juice
- all kind of spoon sweets (carot/tomato/crape etc..)
- baked peach served on ice cream or yogurt
- melon stuffed with with ice cream or yogurt and toped with home made syrop and nuts
- and the best of all: home made bitter almond yogurt! Nowhere in the world will u find that taste. A well kept secret my Giorgo's mother who makes the yogurt.
All the above are made by her!!!
Not to mention the breakfasts! Where to start from?! The bread? the marmalades?! the juices?!

Here you will taste island's specialty at its best: fresh goat meat. Hiden in the mountain, this remoted restaurant is a unique experience. Enjoy your dinner under the old plane trees and the sound of the nearby stream's runing water...To get there, drive up to the top of the "Hora", and then turn left to a gravel road. Keep driving for 5 more minutes and dont worry that you may be lost. You may be right to think this way, since you are all alone up in a mountain with no trace of life or any building around. Some goats..yes..those, they are everywhere...
Favorite Dish: Wood fire: one of the secrets for a special gastronomy experience for those who know how to apreciate the difference. In the photo you can see the "kitchen" of the restaurant. Situated right at its entrance, the whole set takes you back in time and just leave you speechless.

3 rules of Samothrakian restaurant service that I have actually observed:
1. When 2 people sit down to eat, 3 glasses of water shall be brought to the table.
2. When ordering a Coca-Cola with ice, you will get a Coca-Cola... followed 20 minutes later by the ice!
3. Vegetarian pizza will always include ham in it.

Lots of extraordinary eateries serving up the seductive and captivating tastes of Samothrakian cuisine... succulent goat cooked in paper, crisp Greek salads, homemade sour cherry juice, dreamy bougatsas, homemade yogurt with honey in fresh melon... ongelofelijk!!!
