    GYMNASIUM AREA

    Favorite thing: The third area is the gymnasium . There is not too much to say about the gymnasium except that what we see now was the way it looked in the 4th century BC.

    TEMENOS OF ATHENA PRONAIA

    Favorite thing: The Temenos of Athena Pronaia is located east of the Santuary a bit down the valley .
    All the tour buses stop here first .

    Favorite thing: It is near the archaeological site, with a population of about 1.500 people. Delphi village honoris causa has been characterized as a municipality, you can find many hotels and restaurants there...

    stones become like lace!

    Favorite thing: there are fascinating things to see up on the mountainside at ancient Delphi, of course, but small bits of beauty await you down in the modern village, too...

    Favorite thing: It was built in the 4th century BC, with a capacity of 5.000 people. The theater was used for theatrical performances during the festivals of the sanctuary.
