This is my favorite cafe at Molos, the area next to the lake where all the cafes look the same! But this one has better music, mainly greek and no screens, so if you want to watch football choose ANY other other cafes.
There’s no way fore me not to stop here for a coffee during the day or for some ouzo late at night. What I like most was the tasty small portion of food that they serve (for) each glass of ouzo (It’s the only way to drink this kind of alcohol anyway).

This is probably the most trendy café of the city, the one that people look and act cool but the prices are more expensive and the music is pop hits from Greece and abroad. It gets busy some nights with good groove so sometimes it’s a nice spot for some drinks. The café is housed in an old 2 store house and if you go during the day you will notice that most of the cafes there are housed in old traditional houses.
The menu is the typical menu of all the greek cafeteria, here's a price list (march 2008): frappe 3euro, Turkish coffee 2,5e, orange juice 4,5e chocolate 3e, white chocolate 3,5e beer 3-6e, wine 5e, , salads 4-7e, tea 2,8e, ice tea 3,5e, cheese/jamon dish 11-15e tost sandwich 2,5e Theme: OtherAddress: Garibalid 1Directions: At Molos, by the lake

There are several small cafes and pubs at Ioannina. 1900 and Presveia are some of my favorites in the center. Both of them have a good collection of drinks, nice pop rock music and friendly atmosphere. Most of the times are packed with locals and students from the university. Even the buildings are nice to see, paint with beautiful pastel colors.
Some prices from Presveia: beers(4-10e), wine/sangria(4e), dish with cheeses (12e), dish with ham etc (14e)
The area around there is always busy and the people seem to start eating a souvlaki (or 2, or 3 :) ), they continue with the typical frappe coffee in some of the cafes and they choose a pub where the beers come, and the wine and the tsipuro and whatever. I wonder how much alcohol can stand their stomach :) Theme: OtherDirections: t the road that leads to the lake
