Rafting Athletic Center-Aristi

It has been running since 1998 in Aristi, at hotel “Taxiarches”.The activities start and finish at the hotel where the preparation and information sessions take place. Facilities available are lockers, WC, showers with warm water and safety boxes. Experienced guides and trainers, modern equipment for all participants and mini buses for the transportation are provided. Maximum safety is guaranteed as well as an unforgettable experience! Rafting, hot dog, and kayaking of various levels of difficulty includes four beautiful rivers, the clearest in Greece. Voidomatis, Aoos, Acherontas and Arahthos. Other activities offered are flying fox, rappel, ...hunting of mushrooms (includes tasting, too!), trekking, all terrain vehicles (A.T.V.s), mountain bike, paintball, archery. Whatever your choice is one thing is certain; you will enjoy a great adventure in a unique, pure, densely vegetated...

Vikos gorge

Vikos gorge is in guinness book because it is the deepest gorge in the world 900m and 1.100m between its rims.The path goes from the village Monodendri to the village Vikos.It lasts 6hrs 911km) and it is a beautiful path where you can admire the variety of the greek nature.It is an easy path and if the weather allows you can swim.As you are going closer to the village Vikos there is a sign that shows the path to the monastery of Agia.Paraskevi, it worths a visit.

When you arrive at the village mikro Papigo, there is a sign that shows the starting point of the path that leads to the refuge of Astraka.Astraka is one of the mountain tops of the mt.Timfi.The walking till the refuge is about 4hrs not 3 as the sign says.So the best thing is that you hike till the refuge and stay the night there.The next morning you can continue to drakolimni (dragon lake) a 2hrs hiking to see this magneficent lake that took its name from a little dragon that lives in the water and it is unique, named alpic tritonas (triturus alpestris). confortable shoes that cover your ankle, clothes in layers so you can take off when you get warm, absolutely a wind stopper and waterproof jacket, water, and food that gives energy such as almonds, dried figs, chocolate etc.
