Kavala Transportation

ATHENS:It takes 45 minutes by plane to get to Kavala's airport from Athens.Then you need to take a bus which will bring you to town in 30 minutes
Otherwise, you can take the bus from the Athen's bus station which will bring you to Kavala in about 8.30 hours!
THESSALONIKI:The only way to get to Kavala from Thessaloniki is by taking the bus which means a trip of about 2 hours.
Buses are heading to Kavala from Dram, Xanthi, Serres, Komotini, Alexandroupoli, Ioannina and more other places very usually. It would be better if you first keep abreast of the time of the departures.
THASSOS:Thassos is a beautiful island close to Kavala.You can get there by boat(in about 1.45 hour) or by a flying dolphin (in about 45 minutes). There, you can find many agencies from which you can hire a car at moderate prices and tour around the island.
VILLAGES:There are buses going to all the nearby villages which you can take from the central station. Otherwise, you can hire a car with which you can reach your destination.

THE BEST WAY TO GO TO KAVALA FROM ISTANBUL IS TO TAKE A BUS FROM VARAN OR ULUSOY COMPANIES AND THERE WERE ALSO 2 OTHER BUS COMPANIES ALL RUNNING 6 DAYS A WEEK ONE DEPARTURE ON BOTH DIRECTIONS...
