A great spot on the beach, simple greek foods,a fantastic view over the bay and beach of chrissi ammoudia.
Favorite Dish: Both my visit to this restaurant i had only snack type meals but was very happy with the food,
A greek salad was the dish i had on both visits.
TYPICAL GREEK TOURIST RESTAURANT,WITH A RESONABLE CHOICE OF FOOD,I DINED HERE ONE NIGHT OF MY STAY ON THASSOS.
THE VIEWS FROM THIS RESTAURANT ARE VERY GOOD IN THE EVENING,I HAD A CHEFS SALAD AND FOLLOWED THAT WITH CHICKEN SNITZEL COVERED IN A MUSHROOM SAUCE.
Favorite Dish: THE FOOD I HAD WAS A CHEF SALAD FOLLOWED BY CHICKEN SNITZEL COVERED WITH A MUSHROOM SAUCE,IT WAS PLEASENT IN TASTE BUT A LITTLE ON THE COOL SIDE.
THE ENGLISH BREAKFAST IS IS ITS BIG DRAW,THIS CAFE/BAR DOES A REALY GREAT ENGLISH AND IS WELL KNOWN FOR ITS PORTIONS OF BACON.THE BEER SERVED HERE IS VERY COLD AND IS DRAFT.
Favorite Dish: THE FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST,THERE IS LOTS OF IT AND VERY GOOD VALUE.
THIS IS A BAKERY FOUND IN THASSOS TOWNS MAIN STREET, AND ALSO THEY HAVE A SECOND SHOP IN SIDE STREET ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN. THE CHOICE OF CAKES IS VERY GOOD AND THE QUALITY ALSO IS GOOD TO I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAKERY SHOP.
Favorite Dish: TO MANY THERE ALL VERY GOOD ,I JUST LOVE CAKE CAKE AND MORE CAKE
MY FAMILY WERE GUIDED HERE BY A REP,I HAD MISSGIVEINGS,AS I WAS NOT INPREST BY MY LAST VISIT,BUT THOUGHT TIME MAY OF CHANGED. THE RESTAURANT IS IN A SIDE STREET IN TOWN IT HAS A GOOD SPOT,AND IS VERY WELCOMEING BY ITS OWNERS.THE SERVICE AND MENU ARE GOOD BUT AS TO WHAT YOU GET I FOUND IT DISAPOINTING.THE VEG AND THE MAIN COURSE WERE MICROWAVED,FRIES WERE OVEN TYPES NOT THE BEST MEAL I HAD IN THASSOS TOWN
Favorite Dish: I CANT STATE ONE
THIS IS A VERY POPULAR RESTAURANT IN THASSOS TOWN,IT IS ALWAYS FULL ON AN EVENING,BEEN RIGHT BY THE HARBOUR IT SEE ALL OF THE NIGHT COMMING AND GOINGS,ITS AMBIENCE IS 100% GREEK AS YOU WOULD EXPECT,THE FOOD IS VERY VERY GOOD,SERVICE IS ALSO THE SAME,I WOULD PUT IT ALONGSIDE THE MESOGEIOS IN TERMS OF FOOD QUALITY,AND CAN RECOMMEND IT VERY HIGHLY.
Favorite Dish: I HAD KELFITCO HERE WHICH WAS A REAL TREAT,ALSO A GREEK TAKE ON A BEEF AND MUSHROOM PIE,AS FOR STARTER S THE STUFFED PEPPERS WERE VERY TASTY AND THE HAM AND CHEESE MUSHROOMS WERE VERY GOOD.
I VISITED THIS BAR/CAFE TWICE WHILE ON THASSOS, BOTH TIMES FOR LUNCH,I FOUND IT SO RELAXING THE SOUNDS OF THE SEA ,AND SONGS OF THE BIRDS IN THE TREES TO THE REAR OF THE CAFE.THE FOOD LOOKED VERY GOOD, I HAD BOTH OCCASIONS JUST A SIMPLE GREEK SALAD,SO CANT GIVE COMMENT TO ANY OTHER FOOD DISHES.
Favorite Dish: A WELL MADE GREEK SALAD OF GOOD STANDED AND GREAT FRESHNESS.
This taverna is set at the far end of the beach at aliki bay,Its setting is very relaxed with the tables looking out into the crystal clear waters of the bay,The vine covered trellis giveing some shade and adding to the restaurant. The choice of food is very greek as you would expect, and the fish very fresh, with the meats also been local
Favorite Dish: I had lunch hear and tried the local vealsteak as recommend by they owner, It was served very simply with fries and a small greek salad, the meal was very tastey. As is often the case i was given a free desert of sugared strawberries which were exerlent
This again is only my opinion, the greek taverna in thassos town ,is a very friendly restaurant with a great feel about it, set in a side street in the center of town.I dined here 3 times all my visits were in the evenings, the food was well cooked and presented .the service was very good and i can recommend it very highly.
Favorite Dish: DEEP FRIED AUBERGINE IN BEER BATTER,THESE ARE SO LIGHT LIKE CRISPS BUT WITH A FLAVOUR YOU JUST DONT EXPECT,LAMB STIFADO COOK SO SLOWLY IN THE OVEN IT JUST MELTED IN YOUR MOUTH, WITH ONIONS IN THAT HERBY SAUCE A GREAT TASTE.
This retaurant is in my own opinion, one of the best in thassos .i dined here on four occasions, each time i tried a different dish, and each time there were superb. The modern style is bright and fresh inside, with a more traditional feel outside. The menu is full of local dishes ,and also more modern international tastes.
Favorite Dish: My very favorite dish was rolled pork fillets stuffed with apricots/orange and sesame seeds, the taste and texture was to die for.I also can highly reccommend the spicy stuffed peppers with feta,a very nice starter.
The To Steki taverna in Thassos Town serves the best gyros pittas I have ever had!
They come served with french fries and mayonnaise, and in the summer of 2001 they cost only 300 drachma (about 60pence/less than 1 euro).
It is only a small, simple place, with a couple of plastic tables outside.
