Iris Gold is considered one of the top production adn wholesale distribution units for jewelry in Greece. It employs two of the world best jewelry artisans, and it also has a high aesthetics 400 sq. m. showroom.

At the beach kiosks at Skala Potamias some owners sell second hand lilos so it is a good idea to get one from there instead of buying a new one for the days of your holidays.
These cost a few euros, and you can leave them behind in case you don't wish to carry them with you. You can take them back to the same kiosk if you wish so that another person can buy cheaply, or leave it on a beach if you don't wish to carry it with you.
Surely somebody else will use it!
Some of the most popular products that a visitor can buy from this beautiful island are products related to oil.
You can find them anywhere throughout the island.
What to buy: Purchase oils and olive oil, spiced olive oils, olive related products, wine, ouzo, tsipouro, jellies and jams, sweets, honey and honey products.
Some of these products can be found only in the village of Theologs.
They are all packed in unique bottles and jars that make them just as beautiful to look at as they are good to eat.
I remember we purchased some olives called "throumbes". They are the best!
Thassos has an impressive variety of goods to offer shoppers, from top designer labels and exquisite jewelry to fine antiques and high quality leather goods. Shops are open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 9 am-3 pm and on Tuesday and Thursday 9 am-8 pm.Tourist shops are open 9 am-10 pm. 7 days the week.
What to buy: Thing to buy from Thassos: Thyme - scented honey, olives.
There are olive oil soaps to buy everywhere. They are hand made, they say LOL. There are just olive oil soaps and with scents like rose, almond, jasmine...added.
What to pay: Their price is form 90 euro cents to 1,5 euros, depending on the store, size, packaging.
Iris Gold Factory is located on the entrance of Limenaria, form west side. There is a huge sign. They have silver, gold... They say it is hand made gold. They have tours through the factory. Very nice peaces if I may say:)
You can't go shopping in Kinira. However, you can go shopping in Limenas, the capital at the north of the island.
There are a lot of shops and restaurants there, but one thing that is really worth buying there is jewellery, both silver and gold. They have got an enourmous selection of things, pretty necklaces, earrings, rings etc. I'm not usually a jewellery-shopper, but it's really worth it here. There is something for everyone's taste and it is actually really quite cheap.

What to pay: Much less than in most other places.
Wehn walking in the evening through the center of Thassos you can buy from shark tooth to shoes almost everything. Those who don't like diving and collecting seashells they can buy them here but I am not sure if it's Greek production :) But all those little souvenirs and unnecessary things you are interested in when on holiday can be found here.
What to buy: There are main three or four items worth to buy. Honey and wallnuts in honey (all what is labeled like honey :)) is great), olive oil flavoured by herbals, leather goods ...for those who are mad for stationery will find lots of nice sets of pens smelling or creating special effects. And when you're pretty tired then sit down and have some gyros :), drink uzo... just enjoy
