When you come to Skala Potamias beach you will see that there are a number of beach beds and umbrellas on the beach.
These are not free of course, but have in mind that you can not move them because a few metres further the beach beds might belong to another owner.
Don't leave your belongings with money when you get down the beach because you never know who your neighbour is! You don't want to get a nasty surprise and spoil your holidays.
Unique Suggestions: You can at least leave a person behind.
Fun Alternatives: Or you can cover everything well, since you don't carry any valuables, and run out and play with the water.
Not really a tourist trap but you do have to pay an admittance fee to go on the beach which being of Yorkshire stock, I begrudge!!!
The beach was pleasantly sandy and the waves were rolling in so I guess it must be fairly shallow.
The bugalow complex tucked away behind the beach was the first accommodation to be built on Thassos and a fairly up-market resort. There were the usual sunbeds and bars as well as beach sports and a playground.
Unique Suggestions: Enjoy your swim!!!!!
Fun Alternatives: I expect most people don't mind going on an organised beach that costs you but there is transport to quieter places.
