Two unspoilt "diamonds" are located to the coast north of Monemvassia . After an interesting trip of 18 kms, by the sea you will meet the tiny fishing village of Limenas Geraka . This coastal fishing village is attractively situated at the end of a narrow, winding fjord which runs into a round, silted-up bay . True Aegean colours; white houses, blue windows, colourful boats ... Travelling even north you will reach the village of Harakas . Immediately beyond, the road emerges through a rocky gateway onto a high mountain crest; at a height of about 800 meters, the view of Mt. Hionovouni's peaks (1,297 meters) is breathtaking. Below overhanging cliffs that drop steeply to the sea, the road clings to the mountain slope . The descent down the mountain leads to Kiparissi, another unspoilt harbor, with traditional white houses built next to a very attractive beach . Search for the the beach of Aghia Kyriaki next to the neighbourhood of Metropolis for an unforgettable sea excursion .
Gerakas is a beautiful port with cosy tavernas and it's the right place to enjoy fresh sea food (it might get more time than expected to get prepared though! )
Everywhere you look at, you can see little cozy corners with stone stairs, wooden doors, flowers, cats.
I had to put a limit to my camera shots, or I' have spent many films there!!!
