Matoula is a traditional greek restaurant in Monemvasia. The food is tasteful and the view very good. If you have only one day to stay try this restaurant. If you have more try this first and the rest of the restaurants the other days because they are very good as well.
Favorite Dish: Try the chicken plate. Ask the waiter for suggestions.

In the night, things are more romantic: you can't see the blue of the sea, but the colours from the lights of the coast and the mysterious atmosphere of the mediaeval town of Monemvasia compose a wonderful scenery.
The most well-known restaurant is "Matoula", a "must" for the visitors.

There are a few restaurants inside Monemvasia, which all of them offer traditional and delicious greek food.
But the real enjoyment is their location: beyond walls, next to the sea...

There are many restaurants with nice terraces at the main street (follow the tourists).
In this one I enjoyed the "stamna", stew with cheese baked in a clay pot...delicious!!!
