An elegant souvenir shop at Gythio.Visit it even if you don't plan to buy anything. It is really interesting and beautiful.I am a person who very scarcely buy souvenirs, but this shop made me want to take a video of everything in there. Everything is so beautifully placed on the shelves, with such good taste, that you will surely leave with something. A great variety of interesting things, local art, pottery, jewels, ....just everything for all tastes!

There are a few small towns in Laconia but probably the most picturesque with shops for all your essentials is Githion. An attractive harbour town with a bustling main square. After your shopping in the small supermarkets , have a drink at one of the cafes around the square.
You can find local wine from Monemvasia. Buy the famous "Malvasian wine" - a dessert wine from this place.
