    Agios (Saint) Nikolaos

by AndyRG Updated Jun 3, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: This small church is situated at the NW of Chrysi, where you can also see a lighthouse. After a (tiring) hike, it would be pleasant to go inside and pray to your own God...
Agios Nikolaos (St. Nickolas) is the patron saint of sailors.

    Pelegrina

by AndyRG Updated Jun 3, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

An exotic beach, compared to Simos in Elafonisos

Favorite thing: It is the name of that beach, which brings to the mind images of the Carribean... Pelegrina is located at the northern part of the island, the colours of the sea are in tones of blue and green - and so clean!

    Where is my own paradise?

Favorite thing: There are many places which are... "one person's secrets", they can be discovered only on foot...
Mine is near that small cave you see at the picture, at an ideal location, as it can not be seen -from any direction- and you can stay there with safety (but I won't tell you more about it!)...

    Cedars

by AndyRG Updated Jun 3, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: The 1/3 of the island is full of these rare trees, the cedars of Lebanon. During the high touristic season (July-August), you can see enough tents which flirt with the shadows of these trees...
Officially, camping and staying overnight are forbidden, but... just officialy!

    Souvenirs?

by AndyRG Updated Dec 20, 2002

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Protected or not?

Favorite thing: These white conches can be seen in many different places of the island, even at the centre of it! They are protected, as their age can't be easily count, and too heavy (like stones).
Of course, there isn't anybody to control you if you want to have such a souvenir, only your conscience can do that...

    The first impression

by AndyRG Written Feb 25, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: This nice sand-beach is next to the "port" of Chrysi. As being the first impression about it, it makes you dream for whatever you are going to see...
