Luggage and bags: Beach bag or rugsack is a must as you have to travel by bus/car to get to many of the beaches, to get to the more isolated beaches you might have to walk longer distances as well.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good walking shoes(sneakers). Flipflops for the beach. Flat dressier sandals for night. Leave your high-heels at home! A comfy sweatshirt for windy days on the beach. A cardigan to cover up in the evening. Do not forget your bikini!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: A thick moisturizing body lotion to repair dry and burned skin. Sun-screen is very important! Waterproof-mascara.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Good books to read on the beach. (books are quite expensive at Skiathos and the selection is limited)

Luggage and bags: A Backpack is probably easiest to transport, suitcases with wheels aren't best suited to the (ocassionally) bumpy roads
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Pack a bikini (well the bottom half anyway...)
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: OH!!!!! Mosquito repellant, cream, lotions, spray, citrus candles, after-bite cream, lotions, spray...
There are mossies - and they bite!
Actually most items can be bought from the local supermarkets - but depending on where you are travelling from - you may be able to purchase this more cheaply at home. Sun cream is about the same as UK prices - but you are more likely to get a special offer at home than you will at the shops in Skiathos.
