This restaurant is situated right at the top of the hill in Skiathos town. It's a long steep walk up, but well worth doing. Once you get to the top, you will be rewarded by beautiful views over the harbour and the old town. the restaurant is arranged on patios outside of what was once a working windmill and now makes a very special and romantic setting for a meal. There is even a "honeymoon balcony" for two people high up on the windmill itself, but most of the tables are nestled around the base of the windmill on the wide steps. A lovely setting!
Favorite Dish: Pork Chops in plum sauce with caremelised vegetables! Not very greek, as the owners of the hotel are British, but superbly cooked!
The Windmill Restaurant was opened in 1993 and is a beautifully restored windmill built in the 1900's. It is owned by the delightful and friendly couple, Pam and Jon Dance. It is high on the hill in Skiathos and has the most spectacular views of the town and harbour from its terraces. Booking is recommended, particularly for the Honeymoon Table, which is a balcony placed precariously on the side of the windmill with the best views!
The average cost for a three course meal for two would be around £35 with a bottle of house wine. Not the cheapest of the restaurants in Skiathos but excellent food, certainly different from all the traditional tavernas with similar menus and the location is definitely worth a visit.

If you're heading into the town for a meal make sure you sit around in some of the places that are opposite the docks. These places tend to be a little more expensive but the food is great and the view is perfect for that romantic dinner.
The side facing fishing and tour boats tend to be better than the places facing the yachts and the ferry port... not sure why but you'll see what i mean.

We didn't get to try the food in this much-acclaimed restaurant. We turned up at just after 8pm on a Monday evening in early June, and the restaurant was about a third full. We asked if they had a table for two. The waiter asked if we'd booked and when we said no, he said they had no free tables. We then asked if we could book for another evening, and he very reluctantly got the diary out. The next day's page was empty, but he said he could fit us in at 7.00pm or 9.30pm. I asked for something around 8pm and they said they only do the two sittings ... odd, as many of the people in the restaurant at the time had clearly only just turned up! He was really unhelpful and made us feel very unwelcome. I don't care how good the food is, the arrogant, shoddy service would have spoiled even the best meal.

This resturant is up many stairs at the top of Skiathos Town but so worth the climb! Fantastic Views of the harbour and town and food to match. A little dearer than most places but so well worth it!
