Skiathos has numerous beaches all with golden sand and clear waters. The beaches are typically surrounded by dense pine forest creating the most idyllic retreat.
Koukounaries; is the most famous beach on the island and this tends to lead to it being very crowded. It is popular for its white sand and fragrant pine tress and is considered the most unspoilt natural beach of the Mediterranean. You can enjoy various water sports, which are offered including wind surfing, and water skiing.
The beach is easily accessible from Skiathos town by foot, car, local bus or boat.
Equipment: Make sure you have appropiate Holiday Insurance,some companys will not insure you for watersports

Skiathos has some of the best beaches in Greece, such as Megali Ammos, Achladies, Tzaneries, Banana, Mandraki, Lalaria and Koukounaries, considered to be the most beautiful in Greece.
There are all kinds of water sports available at most beaches and even a diving centre.
