Wonderful village restaurant with a great selection of food. One of the few places we've found in Greece where they have a really wide selction of vegetarian food. One night we were there they had live jazz - very classy for a small Greek village :-)
Favorite Dish: Especially good is Angeliko's salad and the courgette balls. Order fresh fish the day before and it will be caught for you! Delicious

In large restaurants and small taverns, which one can discover by strolling along the traditional lanes of the town – one can taste assorted Greek specialties. Also throughout the town, one can find a variety of fish restaurants, serving freshly caught seafood, the variety of which depends on the time of the year. The vast assortment of dishes found here, are next to impossible to describe in a few lines.

A "tsipouradiko" is not exactly a restaurant. It is a snack place, like the "ouzeri" known all over Greece, but they serve "tsipouro" instead of "ouzo". Tsipouro is made by distillation of grapes (sometimes of other fruits too) and is the most popular home-made aperitif in the region of Volos.
Favorite Dish: Tsipouro is served always with some snacks, and you will be surprised by the great variety of them. Every "tsipouradiko" of Volos has its own "personality"! You have to find the one maching to your own preferances! Select one with many Greek customers, that is an indication of good quality and reasonable prices.

Many restaurants are situated near the harbour. Just pick one where there are lots of local people inside. If the locals come it has to be good.
