Oasis: Wonderful local food
You drive for 5-10 minutes from Parge to Agia. The village with 200 single men (girls watch out)
When you enter the narrow center you will see a cosy restaurant on the left side, with also space outside. Sit on the balcony there and enjoy the fantastic view and wonderful food and service.
Yiannis will offer you what ever you like, and be aware of Giorgos...
Favorite Dish: Anything - ask for what is fresh from oven.
The Traditional Sausage is very good (for sharing)
It is fresh, local and homemade.
You will be invited to the kitchen to pick your own meat and look for yourself
Perivoli: Mega Mezes
We didn't see too many restaurants in Parga advertising Mezes - and this is the type of food I like to eat in Greece, sampling a bit of everything. Well we spotted this lovely taverna on the road to Lichnos - before the olive grove was reached - and lo and behold Greek mezes were their speciality so we ear marked this place for when we were really hungry ..and yes make sure you are really hungry! if you come here.
A lovely rural setting and more peaceful than the harbour side more touristic restaurants - although we enjoyed some good meals there too.
Favorite Dish: The Mezes of course to share! - this comes in two courses:
cold platter of the usual Greek starters with salad accompaniments 0- truthfully this alone would have been enough - see the pic!
followed by a platter of grilled meats with chips - chicken, pork, steak etc...meatballs were really spicy, about the only thing I didn't like.
All this for only 20 euros - each platter is 10 euros for 2 people, amazing value.
We also came back for lunch one day when we were having a lazy day and really enjoyed the mousaka - almost like a pie it was that deep, home-baked and really tasty too. At just under 5 euros for this dish portion wise it was much more than I expected and really could have been enough for an evening meal with a starter.
Taverna Kantouni: Old Town Taverna
Great location just off a small square in the old town centre, tucked in an alleyway. Looked a small homely place for a tasty meal whilst being able to watch the the town activity. Tasty food but surprisingly as the only people there lacked some ambience. For once the service was a bit indifferent too, not bad just not overly friendly - and no free drinks either :-(
Favorite Dish: We both just had fillet of pork stuffed with feta cheese, bacon, mushrooms and onions. Excellent quality and very tender. With wine and water was 23 euros. No pud here but strolled around the town with a gelato from the local ice-cream parlour.
Zorbas: A great choice for Greek dishes!
Everything we tried was so great. The fish are a little expensive but there are alternatives.
Favorite Dish: We chose the 'mix fish' dish instead, a compilation of many fishes including kalamari, swordfish etc. and in a really good price (11.50 euros)

Parga Beach Hotel restaurant: Back to normal - please enjoy
Parga Beach has again become a better place to be this year. Still cose sofa's and stuff, but the image is back to where it should belong I think.
Good place to just have a couple of beers.
They have a good Restaurant also, which serve good food.
The crew, not so hip this year, but much friendlier plus all the "oldies" that still goes strong there - I am happy to go there again.
Favorite Dish: Try the restaurant - good food.
This year we always got a big bowl of nuts/snacks for each beer. That was great.
Barbanassis: This tip is no longer valid. Restaurant has closed
Barbanassis is now the only genuin Valtos taverna left.
They serve very good home made food, and have now also managed to get draft beer.
Service this year was very good, due to some nice young service minded girls from Check Republic.
I suggest you go for a visit and see for yourself.
Favorite Dish: Carbonara, Gyros, Omelets - try more everything looks good
PERIVOLI: A GREAT RESTAURANT IN PARGA
THIS IS A RESTAURANT IN THE QUITE OUTSKIRTS OF PARGA,IT HAS AN OPEN DINEING AREA,AND SOME COVERED.
THE AMBIENCE IS QUITE AND RELAXED,THE FOOD HERE IS VERY GOOD, AND I FOUND THAT THE OWNERS WERE ONLY TO PLEASED TO BE OF SERVICE,AND AFTER 3 OR 4 VISITS THEY ASKED IF I WAS TO DINE THE NEXT NIGHT THIS I DID ON A FEW MORE EVENINGS AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS ALWAYS TABLE WAITING EVEN WHEN FULL.
Favorite Dish: IN THE MANY VISITS I TRIED QUITE A FEW DISHES,TWO THAT STAND OUT ARE THE VEAL STEW AND THE STIFARDO.

Flisvos: Dinner with a View
We had dinner here on our first night in Parga and were not disappointed. Tasty food, reasonable prices, good view and friendly service.
Favorite Dish: We had shared stater of stuffed vine leaves (warm) and spinach and cheese pies, served with toasted bread and garlic butter followed by pork metaxa (very delicious) and a mixed grill, served with rice and chips. Cost with water and wine was 34 euros.
Tango Club: Lunch at Valtos Beach
The Tango Club is a great place for lunch is spending a day at Valtos beach - everything from Greek food to pita wraps and pizzas. Reasonable prices. Large area to sit in and there is even a pool you can use here too if you don't want to go in the sea.
Favorite Dish: we just had club sandwich and frappé - no complaints and pleasant surroundings overlooking the beach.
Tzima-z: Even the Greeks eat here!
Restaurant Tzima-z is an excellent restaurant for those looking for authentic Greek cuisine. Mrs. Tzima takes care of the cooking, while Mr. Tzimaz makes sure that the guests are made at home. He is a bit quiet, not a man of many words, but once he starts to speak it becomes obvious that his command of English is much better than you might have given him credit for.
Mrs. Tzima's dishes are fantastic. She manages to make your meal typically Greek, as authentic as any Greek would like to see it, and at the same time mouth wateringly delicious.
My wife and I dined there no less than five times during our two week stay in 2008!
This is also one of the few restaurants which remain open during the winter season (when most others have closed down) catering for the local Greek villagers. It goes without saying that if the Greeks eat there, it is certainly worth a visit.
Favorite Dish: Briami.
This is a well known Greek vegetable dish prepared in the oven, but Mrs. Tzima's version is absolutely delicious.

The 5 Senses Restaurant: A real find!
We have been holidaying in Parga for the past six years and have enjoyed every minute. Yes, we are creatures of habit! Three years ago we stayed close to the Hotel Alfa, which opened a new restaurant, ‘The 5 Senses’. The appearance of the restaurant is not your usual Greek style Taverna – don’t let this deter you or you will miss a treat! The welcome and service are second to none, and that’s just for starters. The menu is extensive and each day there is a ‘Specials Board’ with a set menu for around €11 - €13 for 3 courses, so there is something to suit all tastes. The attention to detail and décor make this a truly unforgettable dining experience. We have eaten in restaurants all over the world and we have no hesitation in recommending ‘The 5 Senses’. The chef, Nikolaos Venetis, is up there with the very best and has trained in England and Italy. The proprietor, Dimitri, ensures you want for nothing. On our last visit to Parga we enjoyed the ambience and food so much that we couldn’t eat anywhere else.

Favorite Dish: The seafood is really exceptional, always fresh and some unusual new fish to try.
Eden Bistro: Good food, good prices!
Eden is situated off the main drag on one of te many side streets. As you walk off the main front, it is a tiny restaurant on the right hand side on a little square. It is perfect for people watching (especially people getting lost!) as you are surrounded by shops. The food is lovely- be prepared for a little wait as all the food is cooked to order, but the wine and the people watching will keep you entertained while you wait! The food is basic but good - pasta, omelettes etc but are cooked to perfection.
Favorite Dish: I had a seafood pasta which was cooked to perfection - and using fresh seafood - something that some of the larger places don't!

Bacchus: Water Front Restaurant
The waterfront of Parga is lined with restaurants intermingled with cocktail bars, aimed at us tourists although we never found waiters overly pushy to entice us in, just friendly. Really spoilt for choice but one restaurant which always seemed popular was one called Bacchus. Indeed even early season people would wait on chairs outside sipping a courtesy drink whilst awaiting a vacant table. Needless to say the food was good, big portions, especially for meat lovers where there was a good choice for their grill section as well as traditional Greek dishes.
Favorite Dish: We ate here twice and were given free drinks before and after our meals.
The grills are all given names, for example one we had had Cyclops which was one of their specialities- Pork steak with gryros and fried egg and Parga Plate which consisted of Pork, LAmb and Meatballs, with a large mixed hot plate of Greek starters (prob wouldn't have ordered if we'd known the size of the mains!) and water and wine the meal came to 40 euros.
Another night (the day we had luch at Perivoli) we were only hungry enough for a main course - the clycops again (as it was so good) and a dish called Crete - beef with metaxa sauce.. We had a free desert this time (fresh fruit) and brandies. Bill with wine and water was just 28 euros.
Johnny's Place: Just enough time for Cake
Literally 2 minutes from our apartment and opposite the main church in Parga was this bar Jonny's Place. The staff always waved and said hello as we passed by on our way down to the harbour and its a shame really we only got to go in on our last night for coffee and cake as a final desert in Parga. We had popped in the day we took a boat trip to buy some pastries and they also included free biscuits to munch on.
They also had a big sign up for big pints of beer for just 2 euro. - that was popular!
Favorite Dish: any cake will do me :-)..but you can see my choice in the pic.
Cake and coffee for 2 was 7 euros - and big portions too!
Parrot: Best Restaurant in Parga!
If you are going to Parga, the best restaurant is the PARROT! The quality of food and the price is the best in Parga... you have to go to their "restaurant side", because they have a snackbar also... View is exellent and the athmosphere is very Greek... If you call the the owner, "Kostas" and tell him that you were recommended here by Mico from Finland, you will get extra nice service from a very warm, original Greek man... he is one of the most loveliest man in Parga
Have a nice trip....Mico from Finland
Favorite Dish: "Special Gyros", Swordfish, vineleaf rolls
