Changing money outside banking hours
A few travel agencies downtown Parga operate money exchange counters. Of course they live off the exchange rate margings, so the exchange isn't exactly cheap. The same goes for the hote counters. However, they are not cheating as they are open about the exchange rates and you will get a receipt.
Unique Suggestions: If you have large amounts of non-Euro money you need to change, wait for the banks to open, or use an ATM.
If you are badly in need of money and cannot wait for the banks to open, change a smaller amount to cover what you need.
Fun Alternatives: Bring Euro and an ATM card.

The restaurant 'To Souli' close to the pier is certainly not worth visiting . The food served there can hardly be described as Greek. It is tasteless, and expensive. They seem to primarily cater to the excursion tourists arriving from Corfu by boat just for the day, so they do not expect these tourists to come back anyway. At least that is the impression they gave me.
Mediterranean cooking is one of my hobbies, and I can safely say that if I cook for my guests, the food will not be anything like what is served here.
If you decide to go to the tourist trap,
Unique Suggestions: Ask any of the guests who are eating there if they can recommend what they are having before you decide to order.
Fun Alternatives: There are plenty of restaurants and taverna's at the waterfront, most of which are excellent value for money. Good food at affordable prices and a friendly waiter. That's what a Greek looks for when he/she eats out. Make sure to look for establishments where the locals are eating. That's where the food is most likely to be authentic and affordable. Of course, this tip obviously applies to every location, not just Greece.
