Pythagorion Graveyard

Cemeteries may all serve the same purpose, but it's always interesting to see how they look elsewhere. This one in Pythagorion impressed me - beautifully maintained & such ornate gravestones.

It can be found in the churchyard in a quiet spot up by the old castle ruins. Well worth a visit to admire the lavish marble work.

Greeks love cats!! You will find them everywhere - brushing against your legs under restaurant tables, all around your guesthouse/hotel gardens, in the shops.....in fact they are everywhere! They are no trouble really & do appreciate a few meaty scraps you can spare from your plate - be warned though, once you start they won't go away until you do!

We had frequent visits from a 'friendly' local cat who would sneak in & hide under our bed if we left the door open unchecked!
