Samos Island Tourist Traps

The Restaurant at Lemonakia beach takes advantage of most of the people going there to have their lunch.
You have to be careful as to what to order. Avoid complicated food and traditional cuisine there. Just get some salad and some cheese, or an omelette.

Everything was fried or cooked in very old oil with a very bad smell. Just one piece was nice.
We complained but they did not bother to take it back.

While sitting there I noticed one or two instances when tourists called the owner and complained about their change, and another time when the people sitting next to us complained about the menu brought to them.

Unique Suggestions: If you are planning to spend some hours on this beach, and plan to have lunch at the restaurant, reserve a table much earlier, get down swim and return at lunchtime.

A salad or an omelette will do. Don't order much because they are also expensive, but what served is of not the best quality....compared to what you pay!!!

Be careful with the change you get when you pay. We were charged 8 extra euros, and when the bill came we could not believe what we saw.

Fun Alternatives: I suggest that you take your picnic there, and cold big bottles of water, and sit under the shade of trees. There are not many trees so get there early.

A boy from the restaurant gets down the beach and asks to be paid for the chairs or the umbrella you might want, but if you plan to eat lunch there, the chairs are free.
Every now and then somebody comes and checks.

The best is to go to this restaurant as the view is great, but be careful both with what you order, and the cash you get back.

The people proved to be quite rude, and when I told them that I am going to write a bad critic about the restaurant they said that they don't care what I write because they have new people coming in every day and they don't lack customers!!
