Bella Vrachi beach is a spectacular beach on a small island, which can be reached by wading through the knee-deep water across a short strait.
The beach is mainly for the use of guests at the Robinson Cruesoe resort nearby, but can be reached by following a path down the mountainside.
The sunbeds on the beach are reserved for the sole use of the Robinson Cruesoe guests, so take your own towel to sit on.

Filakas restaurant is the best restaurant in the village of Sivota. It is located in the centre of the village next to the seaside. The restaurant is famous for its dishes of Greek cuisine, as well as fresh seafood dishes. You can enjoy the famous greek mousaka, fresh fish on the grill (dorado, red mullet, white bream, hake, dentex and mony others), spaghetti with shrimps and many other meals.
Favorite Dish: My favourite dish from this restaurant is spaghetti with lobster. It is one of the best dishes of the restaurant and if someone does not like lobster, he can have spaghetti with shrimps instead.

Address: last reataurant on the habour facing the marina
The Bamboo Place is a great cafe-bar on the seafront at Sivota.
The staff are very friendly - regularly topping up my beer and my dish of crisps for free!! - the beer is cold, and the view is superb.
Snacks are served - mainly toasted sandwiches.

Address: Right on the sea-front, Sivota
The marina at Sivota provides a number of daytrips by boat.
A popular trip is by speedboat to the island of Corfu.
The crossing takes over an hour, and the speedboats can hold around 20-25 passengers.
A number of companies offer the trip - but all on the same boat. I was told that the trip was full at one travel agent, but was able to book on the same trip at another one. Each travel agent is given a quota of tickets to sell, so be prepared to shop around.

Favorite thing: The first photo was taken in 1978, early morning. It shows the western shore of the bay, which has not yet been built in a quay. The (only) restaurant is on the far right.
The second photo was taken a little later, late morning with the kids from our three boats rowing to the restaurant.

Favorite thing: The photo of this tip shows a quiet evening in Sivota in 1977. The surface of the water is perfectly still, which shows how good the shelter is. Our sailing boat is swinging in the middle of the bay, together with two friend?s boats.

Favorite thing: Ormos Sivota, the bay of Sivota has the shape of an S and thus it is perfectly sheltered from of every directions of wind.
The second photo was taken in 1977 from the road to Nidri and Lefkas. In summer, there were usually a few boats anchored, swinging in the middle of the bay. There was a small seafood restaurant and nothing else. In the background of the photo, the island of Ithaka.
The first photo was taken in 1997 from almost the same place. There were also boats swinging but there were now quays on both sides of the bay with more than a hundred boats anchored in front of a dozen of restaurants.
