Because thera are so many islands and beaches around Sivota the obvious way to reach them is by boat. You can hire different sized engined boats from a few different places. Do shop around and check the hirer is insured.
I think we hired a 15hp. for about £22 a day + petrol from a local business run from the hotel on the west of the harbour.

Our package to Sivota entailed a flight to Corfu (in the middle of the night), a coach to Corfu port and then a super-douper fast boat to Sivota. Nick and Michael were interested to see it had a 620 hp. engine. There were only about 15 of us on board. Only one other couple for Sivota, the rest for Parga.
It was about a 50min. thrilling journey, as the sun was coming up. Never to be forgotten but my God we were tired after being awake all night.

We flew Air 2000 to Corfu in 2000. Nowadays holidays to Sivota fly to Preveza Airport with a coach transfer to resort.

At Ammoudia you can have boat trips up the river Acheron to Mesopotamos where the Necromantion is situated (the gateway to the underworld.)
