Louis de Bernieres - Captain Corelli's Mandolin:This book is situated on a neighbouring island of Zakynthos: Kefallonia. It's a beautiful book about a romance in the war and especially about the life on a Greek island in the forties. I don't like common lovestories, but this is really a beautiful book. I can recommend it to everyone.
