If you drive, car hire is definitely the way to go - then you can experience the island completely at your own leisure. There are a number of hire companies. I recommend going to an offical company. We hired a car from a not so official place and it broke down, or rather blew up, at the top of a mountain. We had a replacement a day but that was no better... so we went official and had no problems what-so-ever!
Travel in style
by nandywell
I stayed in Tsilivi and was nicely suprised to see the old Landeau's being used, a little expensive for a short trip but you are on holiday so go for it !! I had not seen the ( pooper scoops) before ( a kind of bag attatched under the horse's bottom ) what a great idea, no poop on the roads.
Pleasure cruise
by nandywell
There are many pleasure cruises you can take, the bigger boats sail from Zante town, and cruise all round the island. From the resorts smaller speed boats do shorter trips, but either is a great way to see the island and many of the wonderful caves, some of which the boats draw up inside, really good day out.
