When you walk past the beer Academy the road forks take the right fork going up the hill not far you will be able to see Zante Town the view is fantastic over looking the bay.
If you carry on for a while quite a walk you come across a bar Taverna called Target which as a another fantastic view point.
We stop and the owner made us a coffee, we had a chat for a while but he would not take any money for the drinks.
In summer they have Greek dancing and offer transport as well.
I would not do this walk with young children.

Go for a drive and just let the road take you, we went up to the north end of the island and came across numerous places and views. Apart from the resorts which i found out were a lot nicer than Argassi, there was in particular a small museum which I really liked. Unfortunataly I cant remember the name of the village it was near but it was not far from Alikes. The countryside in this area was very pretty and a few nice places to stop and take pics.

Take a boat to the Zante town of Kalamaki and you might just be lucky enough to see a caretta caretta which is latin for loggerhead turtle. This area is protected so nobody is allowed on the beach at night where they lay there eggs. I saw one of animals and they are bigger than you think. The loggerhead turtle is a fantastic animal and we should do everything we can to protect them.

The best way to discover the Island is to hire a car. We drove all over the Island and found some great Greek Villages and wonderfull places to stop and take photographs. The roads in Zante are very good.

Agios Sostis is situated in front of the Laganas beach.
It is connected with the beach by a wooden bridge. A very nice place, with splendid views!
