You have to go to Ano Syra, on top of one of the 2 hills of Ermoupolis. Here is the neighborhood of the Catholics of Syros, and their church. There is excellent view, delicious food in causy restaurants and on the tiny main square, this monument to honour Markos Vamvakaris, an original rebetiko music composer coming from here.more

The restaurant is brand new and it is located next to Neorion. The terrace of the restaurant has an amazing view.
Favorite Dish: We ate:
1) Stuffed fresh squids
3) fresh red mullets
4) dried mackerel
5)lobster with spaghetti
We drunk greek red wine and french white wine.
This is one picture of the 1st class of the dolphin Highspeed II in which we travelled.
In the 1st class, during the trip they offer sweets and orange juice for free.
This store is located on a narrow street, half a block from the pier where the ferries drop off the passengers. Ask anyone for "Athymaritis" and they will tell your where it is (a couple of minutes walk from the ferries).It is a small pastry store but it is a feast for the eyes and for the taste.
