Akri bar: Akri, one of the premier Milos nightlife spots
The bar Akri [AKPH in Greek; pron. ACK-ree; means "Edge"] is one of the most civilized nightlife spots in Milos. Located in a privileged, elevated position overlooking the port of Adamas in the bay of Milos, Akri features tasteful, contemporary music and a wide selection of refreshing alcoholic drinks. Seating is primarily outdoors, while the dancing floor, DJ's cabin and main bar are indoors. Guests may also peruse the exhibts of Akri Art Gallery upstairs, and enjoy the spectacular, unobstructed view of the port of Adamas and the bay of Milos from the gallery's spacious veranda.
Trivia: The owners, Alekos and Villie, are friends of mine. The usual DJ, Christos, is my cousin and neighbor. Akri is located about 50 m. from my house in Adamas.
Dress Code: No dress code, but everyone is expected to dress Greek island summer casual, that is, shirt, polo, or t-shirt and jeans or khakis or shorts/bermudas and comfortable shoes for dancing. Women are often seen in hot shorts or mini- or micro- skirts. A light jacket may be needed outside July or August.

One of the most important music cafes of the island. It opens early in the morning, serving rich breakfasts, delicious sweets, chokolate cakes and panalotas. In the evening, enjoy your drink at its lounge space.
One of the hottest late night spots in town is Vipera Lebetina, named after the island's poisonous snake, where young locals congregate for deafening rock music and chart hits.
