Plats Yialos Beach...it is famous, everybody knows it...you kind of have to come here, to see it for yourself. Personally this was the one beach I didn't care for soooo much. It is really very crowded (some others are, too, but tis one is so compact it seemed like everybody was really on top of each other). We were actually lucky to get sunbeds and an umbrella. It is a nice enough beach, and easy to get to if you don't have a car, as there are regular buses from Mykonos Town. You can also take a boat from here to Paradise, Super Paradise, and Elia beaches, so it is convenient... This is a very family oriented beach so good in that sense, if you like that...The beach is located on the south coast of the island, there are some beach tavernas here where you can eat, and watersports....
One of the best things about Mykonos. I'm not sure if all around mykonos you can do this but from our hotel in Platys Gialos.., the Petassos beach hotel, You can walk along this pathway to three other gorgeous beaches.., four if you are feeling really energetic. Paradise Beach is a little too far.
Platis Gialos is one of the most popular sandy and with crystal waters beaches of Mykonos island. It is situated 4.5 km, south-east of Mykonos. This is an area where you can find luxury accomodation.
