    "Smaller, less frequented Beaches"

by INSULARIUS Updated May 8, 2008

You can find and discover them, essentially on the nothern part of the island and they can be reached either by sea, with a small excursion boat from Kini or with your own private or rented boat, or, overland, following the distinctive trails from Apano Mera. The second solution is recommended for avid walkers and it will take you from 30 to 60 minutes to get to the beach of your choice.

    "Northern beaches of the island"!

by INSULARIUS Written Sep 17, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Normally, few people have the chance to try the Northern beaches of the island. The reason: they are of the beaten path, faraway and you need a lot of walking (more than half an hour under the sun!), if you want to have the magical experience of bathing to the clear blue waters of Northern Syros!

But, I have got news for you: there is a cruise ship named "Perla I" that every day (during summer time) takes you from the beach and small port of the Kini Village to the wonderful beaches of the Northern Syros!

Beaches with names like: Aetos, Gria Spilia, Varvaroussa, Grammata, Leia.

It is possible to organize beach parties.
