Yiannis, is not only the owner, but a fantastic cook. If you want some food, you will be take inside and shown what is available, no menues here. The food is the best traditional greek food that I have had in years, and the best on Santorini and Thirasia. If you arrive in the port of Korfos on a tourist boat, walk up to Manolas and try the food. even if it is just for a drink, that's ok. The view fro the restaurant are fantastic
Favorite Dish: Mousaka. The best I have ever had. Actually anything that they have is excellent.

Favorite thing: If you are on Santorini for a vacation, take the time to visit Thirasia. It is like stepping back in time as long as you get out of the port of Korfos where all the tourist boats stop. Walk up to Manolas and it is like stepping back in time. I first visited Santorini 38 years ago and on Thirasia, nothing has changed. Stop in t the Panorama restaurant and enjoy the best traditional food that I have had on the islands. If you just want to have something to drink, Yiannis, the owner and cook has no problem with that. Just sit there and enjoy the fantastic view. It is not called Panorama for nothing.
There is another way to get to the island other than the tourist boats. You can take a small ferry from the port of Amoudi (Oia) over to the port of Riva nad take the bus up to Manolas. It goeas at 08:00 and 12:00 and the last one back is at 05:00. It costs €1.00 each way.
Fondest memory: I am doing a book on Thirasia and needed to spend one night on the island. I stayed at 'Zacharo Rooms For Rent', better known as 'Jimmys'. It is the only hotel on the island. Jimmy and Roula are two of the nicest people I have ever met and the peace and quiet that night led to one of the best nights of sleep I have ever had. The sunsets and sunrises on Thirasia are fantastic. If you spend a whole day there, you can walk to some of the 21 churches on the island. There is a lot to see, but make sure you have good walking shoes and lots of water.
