    This is the view of the village centre as seen from the acropolis, its twin churches right in the centre of the shot. The village runs right around the base of the hill on which the acropolis stands.

    Lindos Acropolis

    Once you get to the Acropolis the climb isn't over. To get into the main part of it, there's even more climbing to do! Well, at least there are steps here and it's not so hard!

    Back in the old city, these are only the remaining of an antic temple.
    In fact Rhodes has been created in 408BC with the merging of the three cities on the Island: Lindos, Kamiros and Ialysos.

    You can admire wonderful mosaics inside the rooms of the castle. Most of them come from the Kos Island.

    The castle has been renovated by the Italians and dedicated to Mussolini and Victor Emmanuel although they never stayed inside

    Temple of Athena

    On the top of the hill of Lindos, about 10 minutes walk up under an unmercy sun.
    But is worth the climbing, there are many ruins up here, and the view is breathtaking.

    On the top of Filerimos hill (267 m). there you find a cross. You can climb into the cross (hight 8 m.) and from there you have an amazing view.

    The thickness of the walls was raised to 12 meters and the moat made more than 21 meters wide. The walls are about four kilometres long
